Have you recently damaged the ribbon flex cable on your LED lights? This small board and ribbon cable drives the distinctive white and blue status lights on the front of the PS5 console — without it functioning correctly, you lose all visual feedback from the console, which can make diagnosing other issues significantly harder.

Replacement of the LED PCB board requires partial disassembly of the PlayStation 5, including removal of the outer panels and disconnection of the cable flex from the motherboard. The ribbon cable connector is delicate — care should be taken when disconnecting and reconnecting it. This is a manageable repair for anyone comfortable with PS5 disassembly and handling ribbon connectors carefully.
