The ADP-400FR is the power supply revision fitted to the CFI-1216A model PS5, featuring revised power delivery to suit the EDM-030 motherboard. Please note: Always rule out the mains IEC C7 figure-8 power cable as a fault source before replacing the PSU — a faulty cable is a far more common and far cheaper cause of a dead PS5 than a failed power supply.

Fitting notes:
Replacement of the internal PSU requires full disassembly of the PlayStation 5 down to the internal chassis. The PSU connects to the motherboard via a multi-pin power connector and is secured with several screws. This is an intermediate repair suited to those already comfortable with full PS5 disassembly. Always ensure the console is fully disconnected from mains power before beginning work on or near the power supply.
