The front USB board on the PlayStation 5 is one of the most heavily used components on the entire console — the front USB-A and USB-C ports see daily use for controller charging, headset connections, media playback, and accessory use, making them particularly susceptible to wear, bent pins, broken solder joints, and physical damage over time. When the front USB board fails, the ports may stop charging or recognising connected devices entirely, or become intermittent and unreliable.
This listing is specifically for the front USB board revision fitted to CFI-1216A and CFI-1216B models with the EDM-030 motherboard.
This revision differs from the front USB board used in earlier PS5 models and is not interchangeable with boards designed for CFI-1016A, CFI-1016B, CFI-1116A, or CFI-1116B consoles.

Please check your model number before ordering — this part is compatible with PS5 Disc and Digital Edition models CFI-1216A and CFI-1216B (EDM-030 motherboard) only. It is not compatible with any earlier PS5 revision, PS5 Slim, or PS5 Pro. Your PS5 model number can be found on the label on the base of the console.

Replacement of the front USB board requires partial disassembly of the PlayStation 5, including removal of the outer panels and front housing.
