This daughter board is cryptographically paired to each individual PS5 motherboard at the factory — it cannot be swapped between consoles. This means before fitting this replacement drive, you must transfer your original daughter board from your old drive into this unit. This is a straightforward process requiring only basic disassembly of the drive, but it is an essential step — your PS5 and this drive will not function without it.

Type A or Type B — which do you need?

This drive is available in two variants due to differences in the internal cable connector between PS5 revisions. THIS LISTING IS FOR THE TYPE A TYPE CONNECTOR (we are currently out of stock for the Type B)
